12:00am Eucharist [P. Cubensis/Psilocybin] ingested

12:15am Kundalini invoked (LXV, I:1)

12:30am Tahuti invoked by sacred incense [Cannabis]

1:00am Gutteral disturbances. Paranoia. Fear. Depression. Storm begins to brew overhead.

1:15am Excessive astral activity. Wind blowing. I turn my thoughts to ATU XIV

1:45am I find myself being crushed by a giant sandal. Above me I see RPAL [Raphael]. Anger. Pain. Terror.

2:00am Struggle back to ego. Vomit. Trance.

2:15am Smell of gardenias. Ecstacy.

Result: Failure

Ritual Baptism refers to a ceremonial bathing with oils & herbs relative to the operation.

The Lunar Temple consisted of a small altar mottled with artifacts relative to Yesod amidst a magick circle.

Gutteral disturbances refers to the effect the mushrooms were having on my digestive faculties. These disturbances seemed to manifest themselves as paranoia, fear, depression, & finally seemed to externalize as the storm clouds formed overhead.

Excessive astral activity refers to the effect of the mushrooms taking hold on my psyche. Blotches of color & geometry were blooming & receding all around me. The more intense the visuals grew, the harder the wind seemed to blow.

I find myself being crushed by a giant sandal is meant to be taken quite literally. I physically felt as if I was being pressed, & mentally I could see a sandal attatched to an enormous foot towering over me. I intuitively knew this figure to be the angel depicted in Atu XIV, & thence related him to RPAL (the Archangel of Tiphareth) & the sandal to Yesod (the sandal is the weapon of Yesod), deducing that I wasn't moving beyond that plane. I became furious & fearful. I felt as if I was actually dying. As I struggled to my senses, I began to vomit intensely. Immediately after, I entered a deep blank trance & the smell of gardenias filled my presence. The scent seemed to elevate me to a state of ecstacy, & I settled back into Yesod.

Looking back now I think I did, for a brief moment, enter Tiphareth (I certainly ascended Samekh), but I did not remain there, & I think that was my primary inention at the time. We might reconsider this operation as a partial success rather than a total failure.
